Blame it on the Samba (Disney) from ‘Melody Time’ 1948
Zur Zeit beschäftige ich mich wieder einmal intensiv mit Choro – und so bin ich heute auf einen Trickfilm von Walt Disney gestoßen, der zum Thema passt. Der Film heisst Melody Time, und ein Ausschnitt davon Blame it on the Samba.
Im Zentrum des Filmes steht der Choro Apanhei-te Cavaquinho, gespielt von Ethel Smith an der Hammond Orgel.

Mir gefällt das Filmchen sehr gut, ich empfehle ihn also allen, die sich für Chor, Ernesto Nazareth und Brasilien interessieren und mal sehen wollen, wie das so in einem Zeichentrickfilm verarbeitet werden kann.
Apanhei-te Cavaquinho wurde übrigens ein Jahr zuvor als Musik im Film Road to Rio verwendet – auch das findet man bei youtube:
